A Plague Tale: Requiem - Cross the Construction Site
This section of Chapter 5 begins just after Amicia and Lucas watch as a large crown is toppled, at which point the characters will be on a platform that overlooks a large swarm of A Plague Tale: Requiem’s rats. There is a small set of stairs that leads down from this platform, and a bundle of hay is suspended just beyond. Players should use their slings and an Ignifer to ignite that hay, run straight ahead, and scale the platform that they encounter.

There is a crank attached to a crane on top of this second platform, and A Plague Tale: Requiem fans should instruct Lucas to operate the device. This action will move the hay to the other side of the platform, and players should use their slings to launch an Ignifer at it. Fans should then heave a Tar at the ignited hay to temporarily bolster the flame, allowing them to run to a small staircase that is ahead.
At this point, Amicia will be on a third platform, and it is now her turn to operate a crank and send a bundle of hay toward Lucas. This will allow the alchemist to join Amicia, and the crank can be released after that occurs.
Players should now instruct Lucas to man the crank that Amicia was just using, wait for the suspended hay to come to a halt, and toss an Ignifier at it. Fans should then tell Lucas to release the crank and run behind the flaming hay as it swings around. Lucas will throw Amicia a Pyrite during this run, which players will use to reach stairs that are very close to A Plague Tale: Requiem’s protagonist.
There is another crane at the top of these stairs, and Amicia should use its crank to move a bundle of hay around the platform upon which she is standing. Once the hay can be moved no further, fans of stealth video games should release the crank, burn the hay with an Ignifier, and use the safety of the light that it provides to run down the stairs and across to another platform.
There are some sticks in a corner just a few paces from the entrance to this platform, and players should grab one and throw it to Lucas, allowing him to safely move to the platform that Amicia just left. Notably, fans should make sure that they take care of this step as soon as possible, as completing any subsequent steps before throwing the stick can cause problems. More specifically, players may find that they simply cannot throw the stick, and they will be forced to restart this chapter in A Plague Tale: Requiem.
Once Lucas is in position on the platform across from Amicia, players should use their slings to launch a rock at the metal ring that is very near to him. This action will cause a portion of the platform that Lucas is standing on to fall, and fans should throw an Ignifer at the nearby hay to allow him to run to Amicia’s position.
Players should now make their way toward the other side of the platform, grabbing a stick from the bundle near the Workbench in A Plague Tale: Requiem. This stick can be ignited at the brazier that is across from the bundle, and fans should move down the nearby stairs and to the left when they have a torch in hand. Players will encounter another brazier after traveling in this direction for a short time, and they will have successfully crossed the construction site once they lift the adjacent stack of wood planks.
