In the note, Rodriguez took “full responsibility” for the actions that led to the ban. He also demonstrated a grasp of where he stands in the consciousness of the sports world.

“I accept the fact that many of you will not believe my apology or anything that I say at this point,” he writes. “I understand why and that’s on me.”
Earlier Tuesday, the man at the center of the Biogenesis scandal that cost Rodriguez his 2014 season, Anthony Bosch, was sentenced to four years in federal prison.
