Former Yankees catcher Jorge Posada admitted to peeing in his hands to make them smoother but claims that was only in spring training.
“You don’t want to shake my hand in spring training before the game,” Posada told Newark Star-Ledger. “After the game, it’s OK.”

Moises Alou, also famous for not wearing batting gloves, said he did the same thing. The process is believed to remove calluses as well. The former Cubs outfielder is most often paired with Steve Bartman we often overlook this fun tidbit about him.
Alex Rodriguez apparently goes a different route and uses his pee off the field, to mark his territory according to Yuri Sucart’s wife, Carmen. For those not caught up Sucart is the estranged cousin of Rodriguez and alleged drug mule. It’s safe to say their relationship has been strained over the years and his wife is not the biggest A-Rod fan.
“He peed on the floor. He was so arrogant, he came into my house like he though he was a god,” Sucart told New York Daily News. That was probably the nicest part of the interview. Not that it should matter but Rodriguez allegedly bought the house for the couple.
“Alex is so poor, the only thing he has is money. He sleeps with his money, he will die with his money. He is the devil. He is evil.”
Sucart goes on to say that her husband always treated Rodriguez “like family” and he return he treated Sucart like a “slave.”
Perhaps Rodriguez will deny this act for years to come and then finally admit to it all.
