In Lost Ark, the Destroyer is one of the most resilient classes the player can choose. He’s got a natural resistance to many effects and choosing the right skills can improve how resistant he is. Unfortunately, many players may not see exactly what this class is worth because of the lack of a good build. They’ll need to focus on reducing cooldown times, while still allowing for the use of burst attacks.
Choosing The Best Skills For The Destroyer
One of the first things players will need to do when setting up the best build for the Destroyer is to choose the best skills for the class. While they have several to choose from, certain ones stand out above the rest. These are ideal for PVE and will make the player most effective in battle. When they choose their Awakening Skill, they’ll want to choose Terra Break to deal a lot of AOE damage.
The best skills to outfit a Destroyer with and their respective Tripods are as follows:
Choosing The Right Engravings
Once the best skills are chosen, the player will need to select the ideal engravings. For this build, the focus is on using the class engraving Rage Hammer. It is the easier of the two engravings to master and causes the greatest amount of massive damage when dealing with enemies.

As for the standard engravings, they will want to focus on using a combination of the following:
Grudge: It’s best to get this to level 3 before using it, or it’s not much of a benefit. It increases outgoing damage by up to +20% but also increases incoming damage by the same. Barricade: This engraving increases the damage output while shielded. It works great in combination with skills that produce a shield as part of their function. Master Brawler: The player will have their frontal attacks increased by this engraving, including skills like Dreadnaught. Spirit Absorption: This engraving increases the speed of attacks and movement. This can compensate for the excessively slow Destroyer animations.
What Stats To Focus On
When using the Rage Hammer build, the player will need to focus on three important combat stats. These include Crit, Swiftness, and Specialization. They’ll need to equip the right accessories and perform certain activities to boost these stats to achieve the right ratio.
Crit should be 60% of the total stat points. Swiftness and Specialization should each be 20%. Increases Crit gives the player a boosted chance to land a critical hit. Specialization will specifically affect the player’s Z and X skills. Swiftness will improve movement and attack speed while reducing cooldown times.
How To Change Skills For PVP
The build will need to be altered slightly for PVP, with some of the skills and Tripods being swapped out for others. These alterations will make the player dish out some extra damage with their Destroyer.

The player will want to use the following skills and Tripods in PVP to get the most damaging effect from their Destroyer:
What Stats To Focus On In PVP
Stats will also need to be altered slightly during PVP. Instead of focusing on Crit as the primary stat, it won’t be focused on at all. Taking its place will be Swiftness as the primary and Specialization as the secondary. 75% of the stat points should be focused on increasing Swiftness and the remainder on Specialization.
This will allow the slower Destroyer to speed up significantly in battle during PVP fights, giving him an advantage he wouldn’t normally have. Putting the remainder on Specialization will enhance his special skills, which can increase the amount of damage he causes. By changing up the stat focus for PVP, the player will effectively be creating a monster that the opposition will have a hard time handling.
