The compensation ended up being three days of free Crystalline Aura, a premium boost in Lost Ark that provides players 7,000 experience points every minute, a pet that provides storage and repair services, as well as 10% faster life recovery. In an effort to address the long queues, Lost Ark opened a new Europe West region and introduced daily login incentives as a means of enticing European players to transfer over. There was one problem with the login rewards, though.

As a free-to-play title, Crystalline Aura is Lost Ark’s way of offering bonuses to its subscribers. The Day 3 reward for logging in to the Europe West region awarded players with two free weeks of Crystalline Aura, while the Day 6 reward awarded them with 500 Blue Crystals, the game’s premium currency. However, given the way Crystalline Aura worked as a buff that applied to a person’s entire account – regardless of the region they were primarily playing in – a player could feasibly create a character on all eight Europe West servers and reap the rewards several times over.
Namely, the new Day 3 reward has been changed to ten “Una’s Tasks” tickets that allow a player to reset the daily quest cooldown, while the new Day 6 reward now offers ten rare combat engraving books. Even though the developers were well within their rights to alter the daily login incentives, many in the Lost Ark community have bitterly expressed their dissatisfaction at how clumsily the whole situation has been handled thus far. Despite the hiccups, Lost Ark continues to grow on Steam and many players are still enjoying their time with the game – provided they can get past the queue.
Lost Ark is available now on PC.
