Unfortunately, it seems like PC players won’t be getting Lost Judgment on release, as the game has only been confirmed for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Additionally, Sega has given an official comment saying the company has “no plans” to bring Lost Judgment to PC at the moment.

The confirmation itself came about thanks to publication PC Gamer reaching out to Sega for clarification. A representative responded, with Sega’s full statement reading, “The game is being announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Sega has no plans to bring Lost Judgment to PC at this time.” While it seems clear that Lost Judgment will only release on Sony and Xbox consoles, there’s plenty of room in that statement for Lost Judgment to eventually make its way onto PC. Though 2018’s Judgment hasn’t made its way to PC yet, plenty of other Yakuza titles are available on the platform.
Just recently, Yakuza: Like a Dragon launched on PC, which many fans thought would be the norm going forward. Still, there’s plenty of time for Judgment to make its way onto PC in the future, especially if the next generation versions of the game perform well. Interestingly, however, is that Sega Japan originally had Lost Judgment listed for Windows 10 and Steam alongside the confirmed consoles listed, but that information has since been removed. Additionally, the Steam logo was found within the webpage’s source code, leading to further speculation.
This information was initially discovered by Yakuza fan site Tojo Dojo, who initially broke the story that Lost Judgment was in development at RGG Studios. Additionally, video game reporter Wario64 tweeted out similar findings on Twitter. If this information is indeed correct Sega may very well have plans to release Lost Judgment on PC sometime in the future. Considering the game was listed to be coming to PC on official promotional material, it seems fairly likely it will come to pass eventually.
For now though, only console players will be able to play Lost Judgment at launch. However, one silver lining is that players in the West won’t have to wait months to get their hands on the localized version, as Lost Judgment is getting a simultaneous global release for the first time in RGG Studio’s history. Additionally, all future games in the Yakuza series will be released simultaneously as well. So, while it looks as though PC players will have to wait a bit to play Lost Judgment, there is a fair amount of hope for the game to come to PC eventually.
Lost Judgment will be available on September 24 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
