“Fake Lou Holtz,” an impostor posing as the ESPN reporter, called into ESPN’s customer care line recently to lament the network’s lack of live coverage for Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness.
On the receiving end of the call was poor James Hartman, a User Experience and Product Strategist at the network.
He patiently explained that part of the reason ESPN can’t show Big Blue Madness live is due to issues with music rights, but that was not a good enough reason to assuage the fake Holtz.
“I don’t wanna have to see Rick Pitino pacin’ around some half-empty gym or Bill Self’s toupee complain about running out of time or some nonsense,” says the fake Holtz. “I wanna see a premier basketball team in the nation coached by John Calipari in its entirety.”
